Jeanne Harding, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Jeanne Harding grew up in Essex and now lives in Fairfax, Vermont. Since she was a child, she wanted to become a veterinarian. She began volunteering at a practice in Essex at age 12, eventually being hired as an assistant where she worked throughout high school and college. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont and studied for a year in France. She then obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Georgia. During that time, she was very active in humane work. She also had the opportunity to study endangered sea turtles in Puerto Rico and infectious disease in South America.

After graduation from veterinary school, she completed a 1 year internship at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists on Long Island, NY and stayed on as an emergency doctor for several years before transitioning to general practice. Her desire to explore alternative therapies led her to study acupuncture and she subsequently graduated from the Chi Institute.

After several years of practicing in the New York City area, she is happy to have made her way back home to the Green Mountains.

When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and being bossed around by her dog Dylan and two cats.
